Laura Eaton-Jankov, APRN, FNP-BC is the Owner and Clinic Director of UltaMed, a Florida-licensed healthcare facility. She is a double-board-certified Autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner with an additional board certification in Aesthetics. Laura is an accomplished and respected clinical researcher, industry consultant, medical writer, and public speaker. She serves on editorial review boards for six peer-reviewed scientific journals. She has authored over 30 scientific publications and managed more than 60 FDA-regulated clinical trials. She clinically supported several first-in-human implants of novel medical devices in the cardiovascular space. She continues to work on the development and research of new products in aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, regenerative medicine, cosmetics, oncology, and cardiovascular devices.
Laura has over 15 years of experience in weight loss devices, drugs, and lifestyle management. She has been involved in the development and validation of 10+ facial aesthetic scales and helped bring more than 13 new products to the US market, including Teoxane RHA dermal fillers, Juvederm® Voluma, Orbera™, The Lap-Band®, Jeuveau, and Natrelle Shaped Silicone Breast Implants.
Laura completed her Advanced Practice Nursing degree at Maryville University, St. Louis, graduating Summa Cume Laude and as a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is a US Army veteran officer for the Army Reserve Nurse Corps, where she served as a critical care nurse, instructor, and advanced trauma life support provider as a 1st Lieutenant with the 21st General Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She completed 10 years’ experience as a cardiac, surgical, and cardiovascular ICU and Cardiac Cath Lab nurse before becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She was an instructor for the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) courses. She maintains active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and Pediatric Life Support.
Laura serves the community as a member of the Florida Department of Health – Nursing Disaster Relief Team, the Broward (County) Medical Reserve Corps (BMR), and the American Red Cross – Disaster Relief Team. She volunteered her services on the front line of the COVID-19 epidemic, providing testing and vaccinations in Broward County for the Department of Health and BMR. She has been a long-term clinical consultant for several large pharmaceutical and medical device companies, including Allergan, L’Oreal, Teoxane, Rion Aesthetics, Emblok, Apollo Endosurgery, and Evolus. She works closely industry and the FDA to bring new drugs and devices safely to the US market.
